Dover Air Force Base, home to the 436th and 512th Airlift Wings, is the largest and busiest air freight terminal within the Department of Defense. Over the past five years, AS has been proud to serve the Base with a wide variety of services including hazardous material and waste management; scrap yard operations; and small arms range maintenance and cleaning. With the award of a new order through our GSA Environmental Services contract, AS’ services have expanded into the collection, transfer and marketing of recyclables including paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum, plastic, and wood. AS has long provided recycling program development and logistical support for clients such as the Drug Enforcement Administration and the US Army. However, this is our first contract to include the actual collection of recyclable materials.
AS Wins Navy Seaport-e Contract
AS is proud to announce that it was recently awarded a US Navy Seaport Enhanced (Seaport-e) prime contract for providing engineering, system engineering and process engineering support; supply and provisioning support; and program support. Seaport-e is the Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas for a user base comprised of the Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corps, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
The Government estimates a maximum of $5,300,000,000 of services will be procured per year via task orders issued under the Seaport-e contract. The award includes a three-year base period and a five-year option that will be contingent on periodic performance reviews. Under this contract, AS has been approved to compete for individual task orders in four of the seven geographical zones of performance (National Capital, Mid-Atlantic, Gulf Coast, and Southwest).
This award further expands AS’ growing list of contract vehicles available to our Federal clients for a broad range of services nationwide and internationally. This list of contract vehicles also includes our General Services Administration (GSA) Environmental Services Schedule and our Army Environmental Command Environmental Compliance Services contract. Further details on all of these contracts can be found here.
