More Work with the U.S. Air Force
October 2007

Right on the heels of our recent award at Dover, the U.S. Air Force has once again pegged AS for additional hazardous waste management services, this time at Travis AFB. This contract calls for the management of hazardous waste at both a 90-day and one-year storage facility at this Air Mobility Command base in Northern California.


DEA Selects AS Once Again
August 2007

Since August of 2004, AS has been assisting the Drug Enforcement Administration with the development, implementation, and maintenance an Environmental Management System (EMS) at their appropriate operational levels. We have now been awarded a new five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement to continue this service through the end of fiscal year 2012. The program currently covers twenty sites within DEA including its Headquarters, Air Wing, Training Academy, and laboratories.


First Contract at Dover Air Force Base
June 2007

We have been awarded our first contract at Dover Air Force Base to provide hazardous material, hazardous waste, and scrap yard management services over a 52-month period of performance. This award is significant in that it expands AS’ already strong Army and Navy hazardous material and waste management expertise to the Air Force.


AS Assists Client in Winning Environmental Award
June 2007

The Office of Federal Environmental Executive and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recognized the 2007 Federal Electronics Challenge Award recipients at the FEC Awards Ceremony on June 5, 2007. The Drug Enforcement Administration Aviation Division in Fort Worth, TX was among the organizations and individuals recognized for their leadership in the Federal Electronics Challenge during 2006. Specifically, our client was recognized for its sustainable practices when purchasing, managing and disposing of their electronics assets.

AS Employees Make Presentation at
Federal Environmental Symposium

June 2007

AS employees Laura Winter and Marvin Howell spoke at the 2007 Federal Environmental Symposium held at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. The theme of this three-day symposium was the new Executive Order (EO) 13423, Strengthening Federal Environmental, Energy, and Transportation Management. Based on their successes working with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Laura and Marvin presented Best Practices for Integrating EO Requirements into Your Environmental Management System.


Fuel System Design-Build Project
May 2007

AS is proud to announce one of our largest awards ever: a fuel system design-build contract for a large data center under construction in Arizona. This project involves the installation of eight emergency generators and corresponding fuel system requiring four 25,000-gallon underground storage tanks and sixteen day tanks with all associated controls and monitoring equipment.
